Yuck

I'm at work (not on break). I wanted to update and I didn't get a chance to during break because I was catching up on my livejournal friends reading. That sentence doesn't have to make sense. I guess a lot has gone on since I last updated. The weekend in the boston area was great. I loved seeing some of the greatest people in my life. This past week I decided that I wanted to buy some frogs. So I researched it a little bit and I decided I wanted to buy two fire bellied toads. You should google image them, they're cute little guys. So I spent about $100 on stuff for them and then I picked out two females at petco. They're really sweet and I feed them crickets every day. While Garrett was visiting the other day I named them Out and About. Lately Out hasn't really been living up to her name but I know she will once she gets more comfortable. About is just more laid back. I also received the new Gwen Stefani CD and the new Black Eyed Peas Cd in the mail. I bought a used Stevie Wonder CD in Cambridge too. So I finally have some new music to listen to.
Yesterday I got the day off from work so I could travel to the beach house and visit some out of town relatives whom (who?) I haven't seen in years. My throat has been bothering me slightly so I decided to try and make a doctor's appointment. So before I headed to the beach I went to see the doctor. They did a throat culture and I tested negative for strep. They did a finger prick to test for mono and I tested positive! I couldn't believe I had mono because I haven't felt overly tired or sluggish lately. She said that some people don't get it too bad so I'm hoping that I'm one of those cases. It might get worse but she said for now that I can continue working as long as I take it easy at night and I don't get worse. I might have to try and take some half days next week but they really need me at work today and tomorrow.
I feel kind of blah right now but I would probably think it was just a normal tired feeling if I wasn't sick. But I might just think it's mono-related because I know I have it. Arggghhhhh I just want this day to end. I know I can just tell my boss that I don't feel well enough to stay and that is very very tempting. But I could use the money. Well I'm bored right now but I'm going to get back to "work" anyways.
